Since he joined Grupo Herdez, in 1971, he has performed in several areas and positions, such as vice chairman of the board and deputy chief executive officer of Grupo Herdez. Mr. Hernández-Pons Torres is currently the Chairman of the Board for MegaMex in the United States.

His visionary and entrepreneurial spirit and business acumen have produced constant growth in the companies under his direction, forming strategic alliances with large transnational consortia, such as McCormick & Co., Hormel Foods, with the United States company MegaMex Foods, and Barilla Italia, among others, venturing into new markets and leveraging the leading-edge technology of their associates.
